FUMPers is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Early drop-off (7:00 a.m.) and extended care (to 6:00 p.m.) is available for an extra charge.

Sunday Mornings

Pre-school child care is available on Sunday mornings in our nursery located in Epworth Hall during on-campus worship and Sunday school.

FUMPers is...

FUMPers (First United Methodist Preschool) is a state-licensed preschool and child care facility that provides our community with a loving, enriching, high quality, and affordable learning environment for children aged six weeks to 5 years old. We offer low classroom ratios and a friendly facility perfect for introducing young hearts and minds to schooling. FUMPers is a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, and is housed within the Church’s facility.

The mission of FUMPers is to:
  • Provide high quality child care for young children
  • Offer an age appropriate program with an emphasis on learning through play
  • Nurture children of all faiths in a loving Christian environment
  • Foster a sense of community

Our Religious Philosophy
FUMPers is a Christian school that is open and welcoming to children and families of all faiths. Our message is that God loves us and looks after us. We should follow God’s example by loving each other and looking out for one another. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or national origin. Christian values and attitudes will be practiced, although specific religious doctrine is not a major emphasis of the curriculum.

Classes

Child age is defined as of September 1st

  • Little Lambs (under 15 months old)
Children are moved from Little Lambs to Swimming Fish between 13-15 months old based on development.
  • Swimming Fish (15 months to 2 years old)
  • Cottontails (2 to 3 years old)
  • Ladybugs (3 to 4 years old)
  • Busy Bees (4 to 5 years old)

Monthly Tuition and Fees

These costs are for the 2024/2025 school year starting August 1, 2024. Please contact us for the current 2023/2024 school year pricing.
Registration Fee: $200 (waived for School Readiness Recipients)
Annual Materials Fee: $125

Tuition is for the standard day (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
  • Little Lambs - $1010/month
  • Swimming Fish - $950/month
  • Cottontails  - $880/month
  • Ladybugs  - $795/month
  • Busy Bees - $585/month
10% sibling discount on tuition (applies only to oldest child)

  • Early Drop Off (7:00-8:00 a.m.): additional $50/month
  • Extended Care (5:00-6:00 p.m.): additional $50/month
