Join us for the 2025 holiday shopping event of the year on Friday, November 7; Saturday, November 8; and Sunday, November 9 and help support the missions and ministries of First UMC. Friday evening, we will be open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. ($5 entry fee for those 12 and older - free appetizers and punch will be served); on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. There is no entry fee on Saturday or Sunday. There will be 8 shopping areas for the whole family to browse through featuring holiday shopping, upscale resale, and baked goods. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be there for free photos, so be sure to stop by and say "hi" to them! First UMC is located at 419 NE 1st Street, Gainesville, FL 32601.
This year, our Holiday Marketplace will feature eight shops with each shop catering to different interests, ages, and budgets including a special area for taking your free holiday photos with Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Our Shops
The Christmas Shop is one of the most popular shops in the marketplace! This shop has lit/decorated trees, lots of wreaths (both lit and unlit), decorated baskets, centerpieces for dining as well as Nativity sets.
Our Gift Baskets shop has just what its name says - gift baskets! Each basket is beautifully wrapped and ready to give to anyone on your list. You will find themes such as Coffee Baskets, Chocolate Baskets, Pet Baskets, Italian Baskets, and more, some of which contain gift cards.
If you love antiques and old treasures, then our Vintage Vibes store is the place for you!
Artisan’s Way features a gallery of art, pottery, original photography, paintings and more unique creations. All beautifully displayed.
Twice As Nice is our upscale home goods and Christmas decor shop. This store has doubles in size and split into two! Many items are brand new, but everything is in excellent, clean, and working condition. You will find bargains galore!
Unique Boutique is a true delight with sparkling jewelry, hats, shoes, designer purses, and beautiful resale clothing for women, men, and children. This shop also has beautiful unique home decor.
The Bountiful Bakery is true to its name with cakes, pies, cookies, and breads. Our United Women in Faith have worked hard to provide a wide variety to tempt you and your waistline.
Santa's Workshop is where Mr. And Mrs. Claus are available for photos at no charge.
